About the Artist
mari newman
I am Mary Newman. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am a painter using acrylics and oils, but I also create sculptures and mixed media artworks. The themes of my early work were my house and gardens and trees, parodies of famous cartoon characters, scenes from the City of Minneapolis, and human/animal figures. My most recent work are paintings of visionary abstracted colors.
