About the Artist
Aleah Beranek
Animals are Aleah’s inspiration. She has had therapy dogs and loves to compete in horse carriage driving. Her love of animals helped her to form a sense acceptance in her school years living with a disability. At age four, Aleah had acute myeloid leukemia, or AML. As a result, she is developmentally challenged, has hearing and vision impairments and balance issues. Aleah bases her art on animal forms, but designs them with her own psyche, which she describes as twisted, imaginative and somewhat goofy.
