Mallory Schwartz
Mallory is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Chanhassen, MN. She works and attends a day program in Eden Prairie. Mallory never shies away from a new creative challenge; she has passion for all kinds of artmaking, from painting and knitting to sculpting and beyond. Her work is comforting, bright and playful, often exemplifying the parts of her life that bring her joy, whether expressed in the subject matter or materials she chooses. Artmaking helps Mallory feel happy and calm, especially when experiencing anxiety. When creating, she is able to focus on one thing at a time and build something beautiful. Mallory has Down Syndrome and doesn?t always have the easiest time communicating with words, so her art is another tool she uses to help express herself. When she is making art, Mallory feels proud and confident. Her work, like her personality, brings vivid warmth into everyone's lives who experience it.
