About the Artist
Jane Anderson
My name is Jane Anderson, and I live with my husband, Roger, in Isanti, MN. I started painting in my late 20s, working primarily in oils and focusing on scenery, gradually incorperating wildlife. I loved the texture and details I could achieve using oils. When I got married, I had a full time career and a large, active family. Painting took a backseat to bleachers! In 2012 Roger and I made our second trip to Bangkok as volunteers at an English language school. We were involved in a tour bus accident in the mountains north of Bangkok. I ended up on the dashboard of the the bus?paralyzed, but thank God, alive. I spent several months in hospitals in Thailand and Minneapolis. When I came home, one of my personal care assistants saw an old painting on the wall and got me painting again. My first picture was barely recognizable as a river! Now, I am here. I've come a long way!
