Zach Schwartz

Zachary Ross Schwartz is a fresh, creative mind whose illustrations capture space trapped in time. Inspired by the settings of his favorite horror movies, Zach sketches abandoned spaces using colored pencils and fineliner pens. His minimalist line work allows the viewer to fill in the details and evokes a sense of mystery and unease. What was that unearthly sound? Was that footsteps behind you? Are you alone, or is there someone else there? About his most recent piece, The Abandoned, Zach comments: “I maybe feel abandoned. There are always abandoned places in the world. You have to find adventure.” Zach lives in Minneapolis where he has been making art for 19 years.
