About the Artist

Rochelle Anderson

Rochelle Anderson creates mixed media work shaped by resilience, creativity, and determination. After surviving a devastating stroke nineteen years ago, Rochelle lives with aphasia and right-side physical challenges that impact communication and movement. Art has become a vital outlet, giving her a powerful way to express ideas and emotions beyond spoken language. In addition to visual art, Rochelle is a published poet and author of the book Stormy Road: Reawakening from Stroke and Aphasia, released in 2026. She also creates crop art for the Minnesota State Fair and participates in creative programs for stroke survivors. Art of Possibilities is especially meaningful to Rochelle as a place where people with aphasia and other disabilities can gather, share work, and support one another through creativity and connection.

Location: On display at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute
