Now at sixty‑eight, George speaks with pride about having participated in the workforce for roughly twenty years, an accomplishment that reflects determination alongside ongoing challenges. Earning a degree stands as another milestone, affirming commitment to growth and personal achievement. Art offers a renewed space for expression and grounding, allowing past experience, resilience, and hard‑earned insight to inform the present moment. For George, returning to art is not about starting over, but about honoring a lifelong journey, using creativity to reflect on endurance, identity, and the continued possibility of making meaningful work.
