About the Artist

Cheryl Kinderknecht

Artistic expression has always played a central and defining role in my life. My artwork has increasingly been impacted by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), a degenerative visual condition which affects how I can see and how objects and colors appear. I use bright lights and tinted eyeglasses for added illumination and contrast. I like to believe that my limited, fragmented and flickering vision brings an unexpected perspective and intuitive freedom to my creative process.
