About the Artist

I became a disability adaptive clothing artist, not out of desire or inspiration but out of frustration with the fashion choices available to me. Designing around disability is so often offensively dull, but people with disabilities and special needs are just as dynamic and complex as everyone else, and our adaptive clothing options should reflect that. Lacking fulfilling options, I decided to design my own, and the symptom relief I gained was tremendous. My adaptive clothing line rejects the bland and banal in favor of the whimsical and expressive. I draw on historical styles and my love of nature to create expressive clothing that draws attention, rejecting the tepid mainstream adaptive clothing. What started as an attempt to lessen my pain has turned into a passion for helping others. I know a new wardrobe can’t save the world, and it can’t make everyone pain-free, but if my creations can make someone's day just a little bit easier or painful, it is always worth it.
