About the Artist
Paula Crandell
Paula Crandell has enjoyed creating and teaching art for most of her adult years. Her work includes various mediums including watercolor, acrylic, inks, and colored pencils in an expressive abstract style. “I’ve finally decided to let paint and ink tell me what it wants to become. I feel so free, and my work hopefully shows that freedom”, she states. Her students see her as a treasure hunter that places layer after layer of paint on a surface and searches for the clues that inspire her piece of art. Not certain if her hearing loss is due to working in a munitions factory during college, or being a middle school educator for 41 years, she is grateful for the gains in hearing aids over the years due to technological advances.
Art on display at Courage Kenny and online gallery.
