About the Artist

George Cassallo

I'm a 67-year-old senior who has lived with major depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder from an early age. I didn’t discover my roots as a serious artist until later in life—but today, art is a big part of who I am. It all began when, on the advice of my therapist, I enrolled in college to study art. As of now, I have an Associate’s Degree and am just one year away from completing a BFA with a minor in Art History. My goal is to write and self-publish a children’s book or comic book—or maybe even complete a novel someday.
