About the Artist
Peter Hinze
I grew up near Grand Ave in St. Paul and I attended the U of M Morris and studied under artist and teacher John Stuart Ingle. I deal with anxiety and depression and have been a member of the Avivo ArtWorks Collective since 2011. My art practice helps me stay in my “being mind” where I am more patient, more in the present, and less needing to be in control. For me it is important not to try and control the outcome of a painting too much. I like to stay playful and spontaneous with it.
