About the Artist
Rochelle Anderson
In 2007, Rochelle had a severe stroke and now lives with aphasia, along with weakness and reduced sensation on the right side of her body. This experience led her to pay more attention to those with disabilities, and connected her as a member of a new community. Rochelle now creates a mixed media piece every year to submit to the Art of Possibilities Show. She also submits seed art to the Minnesota State Fair, writes poetry, and attends several book clubs each month. Aphasia has changed Rochelle's life, but she is happy and optimistic about the future.
