This piece is a collage made of coffee bags as well as a bit of paint and ink. It was inspired by photos of changing leaves that took last fall (2023) on the north shore.
About the Artist
Kristin Kuehl
I’ve created visual art my whole life starting, allegedly, as a toddler with permanent markers and the stairway walls. Art is not my current job although, eons ago, I worked fabricating someone else's designs into stained glass windows and mosaics. I studied art in college where I most enjoyed oil painting, drawing and printmaking. Lately I'm most into printmaking and collages made with coffee bags. My vocational focus is to build back up my hours working as a physical therapist; which I had to step away from for a while after my head injury. Art for me has always been a creative outlet that I’ve enjoyed as a hobby. Now it’s also a form of occupational therapy to improve my eye and brain function. My art has evolved relative to my life and the changing times. Throughout my life some common threads have been anatomy, human movement, nature, maps, humor and maybe even an underlying riddle for the viewer to find and solve. I hope you like my work and thanks for coming to the show!
