I'm Emely Ruiz, an artist whose journey spans various states across the USA and time spent living overseas. My artistic foundation was shaped at Cándido Bido in the Dominican Republic, influencing my unique style. I express myself through a variety of mediums, including acrylics, oils, clay, and sculptures, allowing me to weave a tapestry of creativity. My work has found its way into exhibitions, where each piece shares a story. Born with neurofibromatosis (NF), my journey as an artist is deeply influenced by my unique experiences navigating life with this incurable genetic disorder. Despite the challenges it presents, NF has become an integral part of my story, shaping both my perspective on the world and my artistic expression. Each piece I create serves as a testament to my resilience and determination to overcome obstacles.
