Susan Warner
My life and disability, rheumatoid arthritis, are woven together in a colorful tapestry. At 63, new health challenges evolve, but my love of art and color remain steadfast. When asked “What’s your favorite color?” I can’t answer. All of them, at one time or another. For more than 3 decades, while pursuing a career in nonprofit health care communications, I did not actively make art. Then, about 10 years ago I came across an old bin of oil paints and began again. The sensory experience of mixing colors is my favorite part of the process.
