Juliana Coles
As an Epileptic, my reality is altered. Through my art, I piece together fragmented memories by combining words with imagery to create a personal history. My art form enables me to create new pathways in my brain by creating relationships between unknowns; it empowers me to create order, clarity and understanding. My images are an attempt to raise awareness and compassion in the viewer by challenging them with my experiences. My disability is a gift: the intense essence of who I am.
