Alexander John Amble Gravdahl
My interest in art started when I was young. My mom got me started in piano lessons when I was 3 and I started painting shortly after that. I took classes through community ed and then with Yudong Shen in St Paul. In middle school I was attracted to urban art/graffiti. I started selling art when I was 9 years old. My mom encouraged me to do all sorts of art. I really like pencil or pen drawing the best. I spend a lot of time drawing portraits or faces, and graffiti. I paint in acrylic; mostly traditional art subjects: life, landscape and portraits. When I travel I take pictures. Alex is an award-winning artist and musician, won multiple awards in photo contests and Fairs, including many blue ribbons and a Grand Champion. His art has exhibited in several exhibits locally. His art is in the MDA permanent collection, been produced in a calendar, exhibited at hospitals in the US, and at Congress in Washington. He performed piano in
