Patrice Salmeri is a photographer whose work grows from reflection, healing, and a lifelong relationship with light. Drawn to nature as a place of calm and restoration, photography offers a way to pause and notice quiet beauty beneath daily noise. Growing up in New York, early hardship shaped both sensitivity and resilience, while time spent on athletic fields and behind a camera offered grounding and focus. Later in life, significant physical challenges including extensive spinal fusion and joint replacements reshaped how time and movement are navigated. Photography became a refuge and a way forward, allowing presence without urgency. Now retired from a career in counseling and education, Patrice creates images that feel gentle and contemplative, inviting viewers into moments of stillness. The work offers an open hand—sharing calm, resilience, and the possibility of peace through seeing.
