About the Artist
Throughout my life, I have endured and healed, found solace, sanctity and my soul in music, artmaking, writing and creating. It has literally been my lifeline, my means of healing and continual coping with my PTSD and Panic Disorder that is the result of multiple sexual assaults, a rape, a childhood in abuse and three different school based violence events. Music came to me in childhood and art in adulthood when I could no longer talk about or find works to process the things that I had endured. I instead, started safely, creating beautiful images that provided happiness, something that had been very, very fleeting. My music developed into meditative and serene ambient to sooth my soul. Each of these things allowed me to connect not only with my emotions but something bigger than myself. I went on to be a art teacher and a psychologist that uses expressive arts to continue to process and heal myself but also others. Art saves lives. Artwork heals.
