Geordy Levin
Geordy Levin’s favorite color is rainbow. In this series of paintings, he explores color theory by recreating the traditional color wheel with new fluorescent pastel hues. The result is a cotton-candy-color-palette that invokes a sense of sweet nostalgia and joy — like music from an ice cream truck. Geordy’s thick application of paint leaves a satisfying texture on the finished pieces, like birthday cake frosting made with a generous amount of Titanium White paint. Geordy Levin is a multi-talented artist making work in theater, music, and visual arts. He is based in Minneapolis where he splits his time between his home studio and the art studio.
