You are having a heart attack” said the doctor. The young cardiology student mentioned ‘golden hour’ as the last hour of my life. I saw the setting sun and the color shift to a golden hue, the last hour of the day and last hour of my life are transition periods from light to dark from life to eternity. The near-death experience gave birth to somewhat symbolic abstract paintings. Trees are strength and stability; leaves have medicinal properties; the golden sun coming through the trees is warmth and the kingdom of light. Gold has been a symbol of hope for people in darkness for the last thousand years.
