Myron Peterson
Myron Peterson is a Minnesota‑based watercolor artist whose creative practice grew out of recovery and resilience. Following a life‑altering car accident in 2016 that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and legal blindness, Myron discovered art as both refuge and rehabilitation. Working with watercolor pencils and ink, Myron creates what are lovingly described as “watercolor doodles,” capturing peaceful landscapes and simple moments drawn from memory and imagination. Growing up in northern Minnesota, storytelling influences from artists like Norman Rockwell and Bob Ross continue to shape the work, emphasizing calm, familiarity, and gentle humor. Artmaking became a way to manage migraines and navigate a new normal, offering focus and joy alongside two loyal dogs. Myron’s work invites viewers into a quiet, reassuring world shaped by perseverance, creativity, and hope.
