Dajah George
My name is Dajah George and I currently attend Virginia Commonwealth University pursuing my BFA in Art Education with a minor in Painting/Printmaking. I truly adore creating artworks that you would not normally see in museums or anywhere other than Instagram. I always think about my experiences as the only black girl that had a passion for creation in school and how at times it was very stifling. It has come to my attention many times that art is not a steady source of income for most artists. I have centered myself around this way of thinking for so long and realized that it takes away the love of making for me. I no longer think about the monetary portion of creation and just create because I simply love to.
