About the Artist
Jill Ness
As an artist I am self-taught. I am inspired by nature, especially animals, and feel drawn to portray those that are endangered or threatened by habitat loss. I feel my best art comes through play and out of a willingness to make mistakes. I have degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis and mental illness, and painting helps all of these melt into the background as I work.
