Emily Tironi
Emily Tironi is a mixed media collage artis who holds an AAS in Media Arts from SUNY Adirondack and a BA in Disability Studies from CUNY School of Professional Studies. Through the use of surrealism, bright colors, and humor, Emily challenges societal norms and stereotypes about disability. Her unique perspective is deeply influenced by her own experiences as a disabled individual, along with her academic background in disability studies. Amidst the pandemic, Emily engaged in several international virtual residencies and online exhibition. She values family time and is committed to bringing her insightful perspective on disability to a wider audience. "My works are a celebration of the disabled experience and the disabled body."
