About the Artist
Suzanne Runte
I am a sculptor with a passion for working in clay, other natural materials, and bronze. I am inspired by the fabric of my life and the society in which we live. My art is a gift that comes from a higher place of inspiration, where I visualize pieces: I want it to touch people, transmit hope and be uplifting to the human spirit. I have studied for many years with renowned Sculptor, Peter Lupori, at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis. In 2017, I was chosen to participate in the Women’s Art Institute at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN in collaboration with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, MN. I had a stroke that was due to a work-related car accident. I've been working on recovery and my art builds my self confidence and inspires me to keep creating.
