About the Artist

Ocean C Poet

Ocean C Poet is a public artist, collaborator, animated graphic designer, lyricist, and filmmaker. Mr. Poet has published two books; A Revolutionist Poetical Protest and First Steps Towards Healing & Enlightenment. His poetry and short story has been published in the Lavender Magazine, Minnesota Women's Press and Access Press. Skills in film and screenwriting, were learned at Minnesota FilmNorth. For 5 years he was a member of the Interact Center Visual & Performing Arts. For 3 years Ocean C Poet hosted an online reading of writers and poets around the world. Mr. Poet’s visual art, including oil painting, has been showcased publicly in Houston, Texas and around the Twin Cities including the Sister Kinney Art Show, Artability through People Incorporated, and other various galleries. Ocean joined the Minnesota Arc Advocacy Program for people with disabilities.
