My name is Joan Hester Beynon Price, JHBP. My disabilities include PTSD from a lifetime of major trauma, and several other mental health issues, a traumatic brain injury from being hit by a car while riding my bike, and Fibromyalgia which was diagnosed in 2001 after a car T-boned into me and made my neck bones straight not curved and my hip and my sacroillac flipped. I have been doing arts and crafts my whole life and I have been painting for about 4 years. I sold my first painting last year and I also got a painting exhibited in the Minneapolis Institute of Art. 2020 wasn't so bad for me. The painting, Singularity, with a flower and a butterfly is mostly acrylic and the vase is enhanced with crystal effects. It took me over a year to complete. The abstract colorful acrylic painting, Fireflies, was finished this year, 2021.
