About the Artist
Hi my name is Judith Sachs and I live in San Francisco, CA. I have been working in miniatures for 6 years now, and there is nothing I love more. I live with depression but creating my miniature stories puts me into a special tiny world where my depression does not exist, only joy. I create miniature stories using 6'' skeletons as my dolls in various stories in large and small room boxes and cloches. In 2017 I showed my work at the Beverly Hills Art Show, my first show ever. I won Honorable Mention in Mixed Media-3D. I have been published in 'Horror Zine' magazine, 'The Stray Branch' 'The Miniature Gazette. and ‘Artistonish’ magazine. I was asked to show at Arc Gallery here in SF and submitted a political piece 'The Snake', which won 6th place tie on 2022 American Art Awards. Using the pictures in my mind and being able to sort them out and create a three-dimensional miniature scene is exciting and fulfilling. There is nothing I would rather be doing.
