Tenere Tree

This is made from repurposed coffee bags. I was feeling lonely and I wanted something to relate with. So I googled "lonely things" and found a list that contained the Tenere Tree. It's a neat (but sad) story; you should look it up. FYI: Once I frame it I'll update the photo and dimensions.
About the Artist
Kristin Kuehl
I, like most artistic people I imagine, tend to express my art in a manner that is consistent with my life experiences, strengths, personality, etc. Although my art has usually played second fiddle, I've witnessed the shape and details of my art (and myself) evolve over the years as I layer on more life. Prior to my injury in August of 2021 (mTBI) my art went through a free spirited stage before zeroing in on the detailed and analytical approach you see now. In parallel to that, I started my life as a goofball, worked myself into an Olympic Discus Thrower, then returned to university and became a Physical Therapist. In art and life, I've always been attracted to the creative and clever, so I enjoy hiding some fun little nugget in my art for the viewer to discover. Since my injury, both myself and my art are in a kind of limbo; waiting for the dust to settle while also trying to clean things up, find some new inspiration and move on to what’s next.
