CJ Weydert
CJ Weydert is an illustrator and storyteller whose work is energized by a wide range of personal passions, including cartoons, comics, trains, punk rock, skateboarding, bowling, sports, and celebrity culture. Storytelling lies at the heart of CJ’s practice, with several autobiographical comic books and zines created as a way to share lived experience, humor, and observation. CJ enjoys working across many different artistic mediums, moving fluidly between painting, illustration, and old‑school flipbook animation. Experimentation and play are essential parts of the creative process, allowing ideas to take shape in varied and dynamic ways. Art is also a way to connect, and CJ values the exchange that happens when work is shared with others. Through illustration and narrative, CJ continues to build connection, invite curiosity, and grow an audience drawn to expressive, personal storytelling.
