Aiden Menninga
I have taken on a tremendous bargain with my unending sensitivity to life, and unique interaction with cultural and earthly phenomena. I have always lived in my own head, by my own rules, and it developed into schizophrenia as the world got older. When I do portraits of people, I am talking to the subject and to the universe, as I have practiced in my spare time when I go off on long imaginative routes within my own head. My more frantic paintings are the language that intensity speaks in. Other times, I feel I want to capture my daydreams, and it results in unique images. I consider myself very lucky to have been handed the keys to my life, supported, and able to practice my craft.
