Delora Fiers

A paper bowl is a sculptural form that becomes my canvas. Images cast in my bowls reflect the beauty of nature. I act responsibly toward the earth’s resources by using paper pulp sources of post-consumer paper or renewable plant fibers such as cattail and iris. My art explores the dialogue that can emerge between the container and what is contained. My bowls may be hung on the wall or placed on a shelf or table. Dry, light weight items may be kept in the bowl. I believe art that reflects harmony generates hope.
