Jenny Stice
Jenny Stice is an educator and artist who has been practicing and teaching in Minnesota for more than a decade. Jenny believes that a meaningful art practice is not defined by age, ability, or experience, and is deeply committed to helping others recognize their own creative potential. Their current body of work began unexpectedly with a single line of song lyrics that sparked an ongoing exploration of painting rats in a wide range of forms. What began as simple curiosity developed into a deeply personal and expressive visual language. Over time, these rat paintings have become a space for processing emotion, lived experience, and self‑discovery, using recurring imagery as a symbolic lens. This sustained creative practice has also supported Jenny’s understanding of themselves as a neurodivergent artist. The work celebrates how art can grow from special interests, offering joy, connection, and reflection through attentive and playful exploration.
